Palm Vein Technology is a contactless authentication technology that uses vascular patterns as personal identification data. Palm Vein recognition technology is secure because the authentication data exists inside the body and is therefore very difficult to defraud

Palm vein authentication works by comparing the pattern of veins in the palm of a person being authenticated with a pattern stored in a database. Vascular patterns are unique to each individual – even identical twins have different patterns.

Since the vascular patterns exist inside the body, they cannot be stolen by means of photography, physically copying the pattern, or by any other means, making Palm Vein Technology far more secure than other forms of biometrics.

It smashes them out of the park!

Palm Vein Technology utilises five million reference points to identify you.  Let’s take a look at other biometrics:

Fingerprint:  Around 40 minutiae

Facial recognition:  Up to 80 nodal points

Iris scanning:  About 260 key points

PVT:  We just had to say it again… 5,000,000

No.  Our technology uses the vein pattern underneath the skin of your palm, so unless the camera can see through your skin, your vein patterns are totally hidden from the world

Absolutely.  Our Palm Vein sensor uses near infrared light from natural surroundings to see the vein pattern through your skin.

No light, beams or rays are emitted from the sensor – the light is already there, whether you can see it or not

Yes.  Our solutions are completely contactless.  You do not have to touch the sensor for it to authenticate you.

All that is needed is to hover your hand about 10 centimetres above the sensor and the job is done!

We have also designed the unit with medical facilities in mind, so the surfaces don’t have areas that can trap dirt and bacteria.  We have even gone so far as to be devoid of ligature points, so our units can be installed in areas housing people who are at risk of causing harm to themselves

That’s easy.  We don’t store any images of your vein pattern…ever!

The five million reference points are converted to a data file at the time you present your hand for identification.  That data file is encrypted at a minimum of 256 bit AES inside the sensor, before it is sent to the matching server to work out who you are

If you want an inferior product, go for it.  But don’t let the technology confuse you.  Our solutions are surprisingly simple in their processes.

They are also competitively priced compared to other biometrics, while being far superior as a means of identification and authentication
